Loft Shelving Project

  • Date: July 2022
  • Project Type: Property

About this Project

I spent a couple of Sunday’s in July sorting out some storage shelves in a loft space so that it works better for the client. In smaller houses effective storage is an absolute must, and when you can’t extend you have to make the space you have more productive.
This whole project was completed by predominantly using repurposed timber. The shelving is attached to the rafters and roof beams, making it very sturdy and weight bearing.
It was really hot up there as July seemed to have some of the hottest Sunday’s so far, and like all loft spaces, it was pretty dirty. That’s what you do though in order to get the job done and to make sure the client is very pleased.
My rates are very reasonable and I always look to recycle or repurpose before purchasing new materials. That way your biggest expense is my time! Together, we also help the environment.
